“Come on – you can hold your breath for a bit longer,” the little girl said. She lightly pushed his head lower into the pool water.
She watched as his dark silky hair glistened under the water. Her eyes widened in fascination as dark thoughts swarmed her young mind.
Without much thought, she jerked his head hard successfully lowering his head deeper into the water. He tried to splash around to get her attention but it seemed her mind had gone elsewhere.
He opened his mouth to scream but no sound was made instead, water gushed into his mouth. He struggled and struggled until he was out of options. And slowly, his body gave up on him.
His little limbs went limp. Too much water had entered his lungs. The life in his pale green eyes was decreasing as the seconds flew past.
The little girl shook her head as if coming back to her senses. She quickly snatched her small hand from his head as if he was on fire.
She slowly realized that little Johnny wouldn’t be playing with her anymore. He was dead. She killed him. She had no idea where her strength had come from. She was quite petite and fragile for her tender age.
Before she could stop it, an ear-shattering scream escaped her body. It alarmed the adults inside that there was something wrong and they all soon came rushing out.
Panic arose as they saw the little boy’s body floating on the water’s surface. The police were called and the air was filled with dread. She sat in a corner watching motionlessly as chaos was rampant around her. She wasn’t sorry about what she had done. It satisfied a psychotic urge deep inside her.
Her cold blue eyes as they dragged his dainty, lifeless body out of the water. His death was deemed an accident caused by drowning.
She knew the truth, he was murdered. And at the hands of her. Blood tainted her hands and it wouldn't be the last time.
