Heartbreak and rain - short scene

Writer's picture: EllallriauEllallriau

"You left me!" I shouted at him. I'm on the verge of tears but I won't let them fall. I've waisted too much on him already. "I know but -" he says but I cut him off " The day you left you broke me, you took my heart and threw it on the train tracks to be trampled on," I told him, you could hear the coldness in my voice. " I'm so sorry," he says weakly. The rain-soaked both of our clothes, we looked as if we had been dragged through hell.

His eyes were red and his face was stained with tears. I could not fathom why he would be crying he chose to leave. "We once knew each other, you once were the light of my life, now we are strangers," I say. I went to walk away but he grabbed my wrist. I pulled my wrist back, " Don't touch me," I say looking into his eyes. "There is no need to be friendly with a stranger," I said. He looked hurt and I liked it, I said it just because I knew it would hurt.

Is it bad that I wanted him to feel pain? I want him to know how much he hurt me. I wanted him to suffer as much as I did back then. Maybe it had hurt him too to leave me but I didn't see that.
