You opened your door and entered your house which was surrounded by pure darkness. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you were sure you left the lights on in your house since you were just going down the street. An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of your belly as you turned the corner leading you into your kitchen.
The horrid scene in front of you had you gasping for air. And you let out a loud squeal seeing your now dead, lifeless dog's body sprawled out on your grey granite kitchen counter. There was blood covering almost every surface in your kitchen.
You were in shock, wondering who would do such a cruel act and take an innocent animal's life. You turned around sprinting for the door, wanting to get away from whatever monster that's probably still in your house.
But before you could reach the door a sharp pain shoots through your back. Your eyes became blurry from the tears that were now streaming down your face. You fall to the ground relishing in agony. You looked around, obviously trying to find the person who stabbed you and killed your dog, Max.
Your eyes landed on a hooded figure standing about 2 meters away from you. The person's red hood covered enough of them and so does the black mask that adorned their face.
The person then takes out a gun and before you know it, they pull the trigger and everything goes black.
